Celebrates Our 90th Year!

Celebrating 90 years of impact, service, and community commitment! The Junior League of Wilkes-Barre has been making a difference since 1934. From empowering women to fostering leadership skills, we've been serving our local community.

In June, we concluded another successful League year at the beautiful and historical Mary Stegmaier Mansion. We had two special guests join us to commemorate the official start to our 90th year as a League. You may have heard some extra celebrating as Mayor George Brown proclaimed June 12, 2024 as “The Junior League of Wilkes-Barre Day”!

We officially inducted 9 new members into our League. The Shining Star Award was presented to Tanya Brown and the President’s Award to Cassandra Coleman. State Representative Eddie Day Pashinski also presented us with a proclamation for our commitment to volunteerism and our League’s mission.

There was a lot of things to celebrate and a lot more work yet to be done! Here's to many more years of making our community brighter and stronger together!
